I love the idea of blogging. I really do. I enjoy writing, and I certainly enjoy talking about myself. Even so, I haven’t been able to figure out why I don’t devote more time to it. There are the obvious reasons, of course. I do have a two and half year old running around my [...]

C25K? What’s That?
Posted in C25k, Updates on February 25, 2011 | 1 Comment »
I suppose from my lack of updates that you may have guessed I have completely failed at c25k. I was doing well there for awhile. Then that proverbial stuff hit that fan, and well, here I am, still out of shape. For those of you who don’t know, Aaron has been laid off from his [...]
Still Sick
Posted in C25k, Updates on January 1, 2011 | 2 Comments »
I’ve been reading the “rules” about exercising while sick, and it seems as if I should still take the day off, unfortunately. It’s said that if your symptoms are above the neck, then by all means go workout. You should just do a light day. However, if you’re symptoms are below the neck, i.e. aches, [...]
Sick

I’m sick. I’m beginning to think I’ll never make it past day two of the first week. Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow. Right now, though, I barely have a voice, and I’m feeling a little wheezy. Luckily, Alex is currently playing independently, and seems pretty happy.

I’m back on the wagon again! I’m starting over, obviously. This time I ran at the Y, and it was a pleasant experience. It was nice to run on something a little softer than pavement, but I still would prefer to be outside (although that desire will probably change as the months get warmer). The [...]

Alex is still sick, and Aaron is still out of town. I most likely will not make it to the Y today. Maybe on Wednesday I can start C25k again. I’m waiting to hear back from the doctor. He seems better than he did a few days ago, but there’s still a decent amount of [...]
Waiting is the hardest part…

I was going to post an update about how our no eating out experiment is going, but you’ll have to wait. Aaron and I are watching Torchwood and I’m totally engrossed.
A New Journey

Aaron and I have decided to try a drastic experiment. Until Labor Day we will not eat out. Now, there are a three exceptions to the rule. 1.) We will go out for special occasions – i.e. Aaron’s father’s birthday, etc. 2.) We will occasionally bring something like Neomonde over to a friend’s house. 3.) [...]
Teething…maybe?

Thankfully the fever is gone, but in it’s wake I think we’re entering into some pretty serious teething. Alex’s hands have been in his mouth a lot today, and he gets seemingly upset for no apparent reason. In fact, tonight he was nearly inconsolable for a good ten minutes or so. I hope it’s teething, [...]
Can I sleep yet?

The night before last, Alex developed a fever. I only know this because he happened to wake up and started talking to himself, while either climbing on me or Aaron. I think the fever may be due to his MMR vaccine, because I’ve read fever and rash can show up 7-12 days after the initial [...]
