It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here, so I thought I’d share this little experience.
Alex was playing with his trains, and he asked me if Toby was a steam engine or a diesel engine. I admitted that I didn’t know and suggested that he was steam engine. He pauses, and says, “No! He doesn’t have anything on top of him [like the steam engines do].” I didn’t even think to pay attention to a detail like that, and was amazed by his simple observation. Sometimes the answers to our questions are sitting right in front of us, and we don’t even realize it.
